Tomini makes first cape foray
Tomini Shipping has again added to its fleet of dry bulk carriers with the purchase of its first cape.
The Dubai-based shipowner and operator has taken delivery of the 2014 Chinese-built 179,800 dwt Tomini K2 from Valhal Shipping for a reported price of $34m.
The Hamburg-based exclusive agent of Greece’s Enesel Group’s dry bulk activities picked up the vessel, formerly known as Thalassini Astrid for $28.5m in April 2021.
The latest addition takes Tomini’s fleet to 27 ships. The company is also expected to take delivery of two newcastlemaxes, the 2020-built MP The Bruschi, and the one-year-younger MP The Vrabel.
