Stena Drilling secures drillship contract from Energean Israel

Stena Drilling has been awarded a contract by Israel’s Energean Oil & Gas for drillship Stena Forth.

The drillship will conduct a three-well drilling programme at the Karish Field, offshore Israel, commencing in the first quarter of 2019.

The contract, which includes further options, is subject to Energean’s final investment decision at the Karish and Tanin fields.

The Karish development programme is located around 90km offshore Israel with first gas expected in 2021.
