
Shelf Drilling secures series of new contracts
UAE-based jackup rig operator Shelf Drilling has recently secured a series of new contracts for its drilling rigs, according to the company’s latest fleet status report.
Rig 141 secured a contract extension for a firm period of 165 days plus two three-month options with Gempetco for operation in Egypt until May 2020.
Parameswara was awarded a two-well contract with HOEC in India starting in December. The project is expected to last for two months.
Additionally, Baltic was awarded a short-term contract with Total for operations in Nigeria. The contract commenced in October.
Shelf Drilling currently operates a fleet of 37 jackup rigs.
