Shelf Drilling secures jackup extension from Chevron

Dubai-based rig operator Shelf Drilling has secured a six-month contract extension for its jackup rig Shelf Drilling Resourceful in direct continuation of its current contract for drilling operations offshore Nigeria.

The rig has been working with Chevron offshore Nigeria since March 2018.

Shelf Drilling bought the rig in 2012 as part of a 38 jackup rig deal with Transocean.

Last month, Shelf Drilling secured jackup contracts from ONGC and Petrobel respectively.
