Shelf Drilling awarded jackup contract in Nigeria by Amni

Dubai-based Shelf Drilling has been awarded a contract by Amni for 1981-built jackup drilling rig Trident VIII.

The contract commences in the first quarter of 2019 and will see the rig operating off Nigeria for a period of 245 days firm, with an option for an additional 110 days.

The rig is currently undergoing upgrades in Bahrain in preparation for the contract.
