Seamec seals DSV charter deal with Zamil Offshore
Indian offshore vessel operator Seamec has struck a deal with Saudi Arabia’s offshore and marine services provider Zamil Offshore to charter out its dive support vessel Subtech Swordfish.
The 2007-built DSV has been fixed for 90 days with an option for an extension on mutually agreed terms, Seamec said.
The deal worth around $5.3m will see the vessel utilised in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates from January next year.
The Mumbai-based Seamec bought the vessel from UK marine service provider James Fisher and Sons last year for $24m. The company recently acquired the 2011-built offshore supply vessel Sea Pearl for $7m.
