
Petrojet and Rosetti Marino in talks for a new shipyard in Alexandria
Italy’s Rosetti Marino shipyard and Egyptian state-run EPC contractor Petrojet are in advanced discussions with a view to launching a shipbuilding yard at the latter’s marine equipment manufacturing site in Alexandria.
The head of the Egyptian company, Salah Ismail, has met with the ceo of Rosetti Marino, Oscar Guerra, to discuss collaboration opportunities both inside and outside of Egypt with the mooted yard in Alexandria top of the agenda.
Ravenna–based Rosetti Marino is an integrated group of EPC companies operating in oiland gas, petrochemical, shipbuilding, and the offshore and onshore sectors.
Petrojet is a state-owned multidisciplinary integrated contractor founded in Egypt in 1975 to be the construction arm for the Egyptian petroleum sector.
