Mohammad Saeedi steps down at IRISL

Iran’s largest shipping line has a new boss after Mohammad Saeedi resigned yesterday from his role as managing director of Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL). Mohammad Reza Modarres Khiyabani, a board member at IRISL for a number of years, has replaced Saeedi.

Saeedi had headed up IRISL for the last four years and was the best known name in Iranian shipping. No reason for his resignation was given.

IRISL has 115 ships in its fleet.
