IRISL books three tankers at domestic yard

Iranian shipping company Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) has ordered three 113,000 dwt tankers at Sadra yard, according to shipbroking sources.

The three vessels are expected to be delivered in 2020. The price of the deal was not disclosed.

IRISL has been expanding its tanker fleet recently. The company currently operates two tankers, with another three 49,000 dwt MR2 tanker newbuildings set to join the company’s fleet this year and next.
