Gulf Navigation and SeaQuest Group form shipmanagement JV
Fast diversifying UAE line Gulf Navigation has signed a partnership agreement with Swiss manager SeaQuest with an aim to chase third party management business in the Middle East, Africa and other neighbouring countries.
Khamis Juma Buamim, group CEO of Gulf Navigation, commented: “This partnership will not only contribute in our business growth in the field of the shipmanagement, but also it will contribute in the expansion of our services in the field of technical consultancy, to manage a variety of maritime projects and improve the quality of our services with the support and experience of our new partners”.
Since taking on the top job at Gulf Navigation in April this year, Khamis has set about diversifying the tanker firm’s earnings. For instance, Gulf Navigation, which skirted with bankruptcy in recent years, has recently signed with Chinese state-run yards to develop a shipyard complex in the north of the UAE. Prior to his Gulf Navigation appointment, Khamis headed up Drydocks World.
