Gulf Marine Services secures new contracts and extension
Abu Dhabi-based offshore support vessel provider Gulf Marines Services has been awarded two new contracts in the MENA region.
The new contracts, which are expected to commence at the end of first quarter of 2018, are for a large class vessel with a charter period of eight months (including options) and a midsize class vessel with a charter period of eight months (including options).
The vessels will be supporting an engineering, procurement and construction contractor in offshore brownfield projects.
In addition, Gulf Marine Services has secured a contract extension for a small class vessel, which will extend the vessel’s employment to the end of first quarter 2018.
“The award of these two new contracts for a Large Class and MidSize Class SESV, and confirmation of another contract extension for a Small Class SESV, is testament to the flexibility of the GMS fleet, with our vessels providing highly efficient and costeffective support across a broad spectrum of operational requirements for our clients in the MENA region,” said Duncan Anderson, chief executive officer of GMS.
