Chevron takes option on Shelf Drilling jackup

Dubai-based Shelf Drilling have announced that Chevron has taken up a six-month contract extension option on 2008-built jackup rig Shelf Drilling Resourceful.

The extension is in direct continuation of its current contract with Chevron for drilling operations offshore Nigeria, keeping the rig employed through to April 2019.

Earlier this week, Shelf was awarded another contract in Nigeria, by Amni for 1981-built jackup drilling rig Trident VIII.
