Bakri takes Neda aframax
Bakri Navigation, one of 2015’s most busy buyers of secondhand tankers, has made a belated foray back into the sector. Brokers link the Middle Eastern owner with the 2002-built aframax Siena.
The ship was part of Greece’s Neda Maritime Agency which still has four other aframaxes, and six VLCCs on the tanker side of its business. Neda also has 15 bulkers in its fleet.
Last year, Bakri spent around $50m notching up a series of tanker bargains.
