Bakri Navigation returns to Neda Maritime for aframax acquisition
Saudi Arabian owner Bakri Navigation has acquired 14-year-old aframax tanker Silvaplana from Greek owner Neda Maritime.
According to broking sources, Neda Maritime has offloaded the 109,300 dwt tanker to Bakri for $13m.
Bakri has been a regular buyer of Neda’s older tonnage, the most recent purchase last November with the 2002-built aframax Siena sold to Bakri for around $15m.
Neda Maritime’s fleet currently consists of 24 vessels, with its nine tankers made up of five VLCCs and four aframaxes.
