Bahri picks up VLCC pair from Tanker Investments for $155m

National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) has announced that its board has approved the acquisition of two 2010-built VLCCs for a total price of $155m.

The DSME-built vessels, Voss Spirit and Hemesdal Spirit, have been acquired from Teekay Corporation’s special investment company Tanker Investments and are expected to be delivered mid to late January.

Tanker Investments acquired the pair from Teekay in May 2014 for $154m.
